Reconcile

Faith-centred reconciliation. Professional support. Lasting resolution.

Reconcile is a not-for-profit organisation serving primarily the Muslim community, providing reconciliation, mediation, arbitration, and counselling grounded in Islamic principles.

We exist to help individuals, families, and communities resolve conflict with wisdom, justice, and compassion, drawing on the ethical framework of Islam while applying professional standards of practice.

Although Reconcile operates with the structure and discipline of a business, our purpose is service, not profit. Any surplus is reinvested to expand access, subsidise support where needed, and strengthen our work for the long term.

Our Approach

Islam places great emphasis on reconciliation, fairness, and the preservation of relationships. Reconcile’s work is guided by these values.

All support and advice is provided:

  • In line with Islamic principles and ethical teachings
  • With respect for confidentiality, dignity, and due process
  • Through qualified practitioners experienced in dispute resolution and pastoral support

Our role is to facilitate understanding, encourage accountability, and help parties reach outcomes that are just, balanced, and spiritually grounded.

What We Offer

Reconcile supports a wide range of matters, including:

  • Family and marital reconciliation
  • Mediation between individuals, families, or groups
  • Arbitration and structured dispute resolution
  • Community and organisational disputes
  • Guidance on conflict prevention and communication

Each case is considered on its own merits, with sensitivity to personal circumstances, cultural context, and Islamic guidance.

Fees, Subsidies, and Sustainability

To operate responsibly and maintain high professional standards, Reconcile charges fees for its services.

We recognise, however, that financial hardship should not be a barrier to seeking reconciliation. Where appropriate, fees may be reduced or subsidised, subject to assessment and available resources.

Donations enable us to:

  • Support individuals and families in genuine financial need
  • Respond to complex or urgent cases
  • Invest in practitioner training and community outreach

Donations

Reconcile relies on donations to fulfil its charitable mission.

By supporting Reconcile, you help ensure that faith-based reconciliation and guidance remains accessible to those who need it most, and that conflicts are addressed in a manner that upholds Islamic values of justice, mercy, and responsibility.

Our Values

  • Justice (`Adl) – Striving for fairness and balance
  • Compassion (Rahmah) – Approaching every case with care and empathy
  • Integrity (Amanah) – Acting with trustworthiness and accountability
  • Confidentiality (Sitr) – Protecting privacy and dignity
  • Reconciliation (Islah) – Seeking restoration wherever possible

Working Within an Islamic Framework

Reconcile provides guidance and facilitation based on Islamic principles. Our services are not a substitute for formal legal advice or statutory processes, but where appropriate, we work alongside legal, community, and professional bodies.

Our aim is to resolve matters constructively, reduce harm, and support outcomes that are consistent with both ethical responsibility and personal wellbeing.
